Ever since I stopped giving classes many years ago, people always ask me “When are you going to start classes again”. So now that my son Ronan has just opened his new paint your own pottery shop, The Paintworks Studio, I have the perfect venue and outlet to get back in the driving seat so to speak.
It was so long since I gave a class, I was quite nervous before I faced my new class of 10 eager artists in February. After a short while I got into the swing of it and left my worries behind. The students come one night a week for two hours. It gives me such pleasure to see students learn more about colours, explore their hidden passion for art and creativity and of course see new friendships blossom which are borne out of a shared love of art. What more could I ask for than help make that happen.
